Whilst Portsmouth cannot compete with Dover in it’s short distance to France, it does offer the ferry traveller some great advantages. The port of Portsmouth has the best road connections of any UK Channel ferry port, the M275 brings the national motorway network right to the port itself, making it very accessible from the Midlands and Southern England. It is actually nearer to central London than Dover or the Channel Tunnel at Folkestone.

Portsmouth ferries to France provide a wide selection of destinations, sailing times and dates. Although each ferry sailing on these routes vary, they all offer on-board comfort and carry both cars and passengers, with the exception of the Condor Ferries sailing which is for cars only.
