        1. Hi N

If you are a British citizen, then you will not need a Visa to travel to Holland. I hope this helps.

        1. Hi Mike

          Harwich Port
For the 0900 departure, check-in for vehicles and foot passengers opens at 07:45 and closes at 08:15.
For the 23:00 departure check-in for vehicles and foot passengers opens at 20:30 and closes at 22:15. From mid-May to September on busy sailings, check-in for vehicles opens at 19:30.
Because you are travelling from a country outside the EU/Schengen, different entry rules apply. Border checks may take longer because customs can check your luggage and travel documents.

          1. Hi Joe

For driving in the Netherlands, the following documents should always be carried:

            Full, valid UK driving licence
            Proof of ID (passport)
            Motor insurance certificate
            V5 registration document

Please note: This information was taken from the RAC website. It is your responsibility as the vehicle owner to check you have the correct documentation in place prior to travel. We can only advise on this matter, we urge you to do your own research as well. We would also advise you to check that your car insurance covers you for driving abroad. I hope this at least gives you a starting point for your research.

      1. Will I have enough time to get myself and my Bicycle on the 07:20 train for ferry arriving 06:30 on 21st August – i.e. how long to disembark.

        1. Hi Paul

We can only give an estimation, it is usually about 30mins to disembark. To walk to the metro station is 15mins. Depending on how fast you can cycle, you may make the train at 07:20. Although you may wish to consider a slightly later train if possible to give you a little extra time just in case. I hope this helps.

      2. Hi. I have booked a Journey with flexi option just for myself. It turned out that I am going to have 2 more people with me. Is there any option to add them to my booking?

        1. Hi Maciej

Thank you for getting in touch. The quickest and simplest way to make changes to your booking is to visit the “Manage Booking” section of the Stena Line site. Alternatively, you can also call their Contact Centre on 03447 70 70 70 to assist with any changes you wish to make for your booking. I hope this helps.

      3. We have a flexy ticket for June 2021, how flexy is it can we use it for June 2022 ?
        Thanks
        David.

        1. Hi David

Thank you for your question. As you have a flexi ticket, yes, you can change your booking and put it back a year. To Do this you will have to click on the “Login/Manage Booking” section on the top right of the Stena Line page and follow the instructions from there. Help is a link for the Stena Line help guide to help you complete this action. https://www.stenaline.co.uk/manage-booking#. I hope this helps.

        1. Hi Carole

This will depend on the ferry route and operator you are taking. But yes, some ferries offer dog friendly cabins. I hope this helps.

        1. Hi Kevin

To book a coach you would have to speak to Stena Line directly. Their new bookings phone number is 03447 707 070. I’m sorry we cannot be of more help.

      4. Hi there my friend has already booked a sailing with you and now i have decided to go with him .. he have already booked so can you tell me my extra cost to stay with him in car or do i have to get out to do the foot passenger thing.. thanks phil

        1. Hi Phil

You have two options to consider here: The cost of amending your booking versus booking in as a new foot passenger.

You can easily amend or cancel your booking online at any time prior to your departure by clicking on the “Login or Manage Booking” link located at the top right of the site and following the instructions. (An amendment fee may be applicable depending on the fare type you have chosen and any difference in fare which may apply to the changes being made will be charged.) This will give you the new price.

You can then compare this to the cost of going on as a foot passenger yourself. I hope this helps.

        1. Hi Anthony

A moped would be classed as a motorcycle. (a motorcycle is simply any two-wheeled motor vehicle, regardless of design, regardless of engine size). I hope this helps.

        1. Hi David

Unfortunately Stena Line do not allow you to return to either your car or onboard kennels during crossing to visit your dog. Sorry for the inconvenience.

      5. I am collecting a puppy from Germany and the breeder is happy to deliver to Rotterdam, can use the ferry? The pup will have all relevant papers, rabies jab, blood test, wormed etc. I will be travelling as a foot passenger

        1. Hi Keith

As long as you have all the correct documentation for travel and an appropriate dog crate (if required) then this will not be an issue at all. Please bear in mind your dog will have to be booked on in advance. I hope this helps.

        1. Hi Richard

          Here are the differences:

Economy Fares: Our lowest fare, a good choice if your travel plans are fixed. Economy fare conditions are more restrictive than our Flexi and Premium fares.
Flexi Fares: Our Flexi fare, offers you an attractive fare with greater flexibility should your plans change.
Premium Fares: Our Premium fare offers you the most favorable conditions, greater flexibility, Stena Plus lounge access and other benefits.

          I hope this helps.

      6. I want to travel to Holland Via harwich to the hook of Holland over night with a pet dog where does the dog stay if it is in the vehicle can I stay with it or at least visit the dog or if I have cabin can the dog stay with me.

        1. Hi J

So you can choose to leave your dog in your vehicle or in the onboard kennels. Unfortunately this route does not have cabins which they allow dogs into. If your dog remains in your vehicle, you will not be allowed to visit it during the duration of the sailing, this is for health and safety reasons. If you choose the leave your dog in the kennels, you are allowed to visit it, just speak to the member of staff at the Guest Service Desk. You are also able to watch your dog on the “Pet Channel” if you choose to take a cabin for the night. I hope this helps.

        1. Hi Victor

Yes you can use your Tesco Vouchers to book this crossing. To book online you must start the booking process at the following page – http://www.stenaline.co.uk/tesco. If booking online using a Clubcard voucher code, please enter your voucher number in the payment step of the booking. I hope this helps.

      7. can I take my dog in my car on the hook of Holland ferry crossing? or go to Europe from Harwich with my dog on another route?

        1. Hi Tracey

Yes, dogs are permitted on the Harwich to Hook of Holland route. As for other routes elsewhere in Europe i would need more details of where you would like to go to say whether or not dogs are permitted on the route or not. I hope this helps.

        2. My partner has Iraqi passport and British residence permit. Does he need any visas as well to travel from UK to Holland?

          1. Hi Samantha

Thank you for getting in touch. Unfortunately we here at Ferryto.EU cannot answer this question. I would suggest you get in contact with the UK Government and Iraqi embassy to check. I am sorry we cannot be of assistance.

      8. hi there if your ferry leaves harwich at say 11pm youve booked a cabin , what is the earliest you can actually get on the ferry please

      9. looking to travel from harwich to hook of holland (berlin final destination) overnight in sept/oct, car + 3 passenger + overnight cabin, how much? many thanks.

      10. Hi, how do i get a sailing from Harwich to hook of h
Holland late august to mid sept using Tesco vouchers please?

        1. Hi Ian – It’s cheapest to travel midweek, book in advance and not avoid the summer months. I can see there are no £59 fares available in the next few months, but there is plenty of £65 & £71 fares. If you can wait until September you can easily travel for £59.

The £59 rate is for a car and driver, so any additional passengers will also increase the price.

        1. Yes. Just click “get a quote” above and choose “Bicycle” to the answer to the “How are you travelling?” question.
