      1. Ferry booked for four people on 30 th May for cycle trip to Belgum. Got word today that ferry is cancelled. Hotels all paid and booked. Major disaster. Why can this happen.

        1. Hi K Reid

I’m sorry to hear that the ferry operator has cancelled your crossing. This could have been caused by a number of factors including: weather conditions, port closures, industrial disputes or changed by other operational requirements.

        1. Hi James

If you are travelling with P&O Ferries and wish to take your bicycle with you then please be aware of the following:

If you are travelling with an already attached bicycle rack then there is no extra charge to your booking, however, if the rack is fitted to the roof of your vehicle and makes the vehicle more than 1.8 metres in height (with or without bicycles attached) then your vehicle will need to be booked as an over-height vehicle and this will the affect the price of your booking.
If the bicycle rack is on the back of the vehicle this is also acceptable and should not affect the height of the vehicle.
We can accomodate bikes, bicycles, motorcycles and motorcycles with sidecars on all our routes, with the exception of Liverpool to Dublin where foot passengers with bicycles are unable to travel.

          I hope this helps.

      2. We want to be foot passengers from Hull to Rotterdam, are there public transports i.e., shuttle bus, metro, taxi …etc from Hook of Holland to Rotterdam city centre? And if there are, how about the cost?

        1. Hi Peter

So Rotterdam city centre is 24 miles from the ferry port. A coach service is available to take your from the ferry port to Rotterdam Central Railway Station to the “Eurolines” bus stop at Conradstraat. (You also can get the return coach journey back to the ferry from here). Bus tickets must be pre-booked at the Reservations department. I hope this helps.

        1. Hi Ken

If you enter “TBC” (To Be Confirmed) in the Registration Number box on their booking web pages, provided that you amend the details in sufficient time for their boarding records to be up to date when you arrive at the port. There is no extra charge for this as long as the vehicle class and dimensions remain the same. I hope this helps.

      3. We have ancestral visa’s to the UK and live in Hull, would we require Schegan Visas to catch the Ferry from Hull to Rotterdam. If so where would we be able to obtain them.

      4. I have booked and paid for a return ferry crossing trip from hull to Rotterdam, leaving Wednesday 18th feb and returning sun 21st feb, 2 adults , 1 child – I was supposed to receive an email confirmation booking but nothing so far and am concerned, please reply

        1. Hi Shirley

Please do not be concerned. A booking confirmation should have been sent to your email address, after you had completed your booking and checked out. We apologise if you have not received this. If you have an account with P&O Ferries, simply follow the steps below to view your booking confirmation details:

Click ‘sign in’ at the top right of our web page to sign in to your account.
To access your booking confirmation details select ‘My Bookings’ from the menu on the left hand side.
Here you can view your ‘upcoming bookings’ and your ‘booked history’.
Note: From here you can also print out your booking confirmation.

          I hope this helps.

        1. Hi Chris

As your party size is greater than 9 people, you will have to contact Stena Line directly to complete the booking. This can be done through their customer service telephone number for groups: 08445 764 764. I am sorry we cannot be of more help.

      5. I am looking to book somewhat in advance – for July next year – will the prices come down – it is really high at the moment.

        1. Of course prices can change, however July is the premium summer season and prices could even go up as the cheaper priced cabins become sold out.

You could try sailing on a different day, mid week sailings will usually be less expensive than the weekends. Sailings from September to May will also usually be cheaper with October to March being the cheapest.

      6. I would like to travel Hull Rotterdam but we have tow dogs with us and a caravan, is this possible?

        1. Hi Doreen

Yes this is possible. Just select “caravan” as you mode of transport. As you move through the booking process there is a section to add dogs in as passenger. Just select two, then decide whether you want them to remain in your caravan or in your onboard kennels. I hope this helps.

      7. my husband and i want to go to Rotterdam April and take our car but on return we want to bring our daughter back with us how much extra would we be looking at paying

          1. Is there access to the vehicle to check on the dog?
Is there access to the kennels to check on the dog?

            1. Hi Barry

Unfortunately you are not able to check on your dog in your vehicle during the crossing. This can only be done at the digression of the operator and would require you to be accompanied by a member of staff. You are not allowed to remain with your dog i your vehicle either. I am sorry for the inconvenience.

      8. I am having to collect some folk from the Hull terminal, do I need to pay parking or display a parking ticket for the short time I’m there and if so where do I get the ticket from.

        1. P&O Ferries car parks in Hull will incur a charge of £5 per 24 hours or part thereof. For short term visitors the first 2 hours will be FREE, but a parking ticket from the machine will need to be displayed.

Foot passengers travelling to Holland may park their vehicle at either the Rotterdam or Zeebrugge car park in Hull. There’s a multi-storey car park near the Europort terminal and 3 open air car parks in front of the Zeebrugge terminal building.

      9. I am considering going from Hull to Rotterdam returning 1 week later but leaving a car at Hull – what is the cost of parking for 1 week?
        Thanks
