The Newhaven to Dieppe ferry service is operated by DFDS Seaways. In the summer there are three daily sailings (two in the winter) from Newhaven and the crossing takes just 4 hours.

Newhaven is the closest British port to London and just a short distance from the famous seaside resort of Brighton.

You also find most things you might have forgotten for your trip as well as books and toys to keep the kid entertained.

Dieppe is ideally situated in Upper Normandy with fast connections to Paris and all parts of Northern France.

Although the crossing is only 4 hours, if you wish you can purchase a cabin to relax in during your crossing. You will also find a number of areas of the ship that have been set aside especially for children. Little ones can let off steam in the brightly-coloured play-zones while video games and cartoons will keep the older ones entertained.

      1. The seven sisters is a very smart, powerful, and comfortable ferry. The crossing from Newhaven to Dieppe saves me 200 miles on the round trip to Ambrieres and saves me some £40 in payage road tolls. It’s a nice experience too.
