Alternatively, you can drive from Liverpool to Holyhead in North Wales. The drive takes around 2.5 to 3 hours. From Holyhead, both Irish Ferries and Stena Line operate regular sailings directly to Dublin, with crossing times of around three hours. This is the most direct ferry route into the Irish capital and is ideal if you prefer to avoid overland travel in Ireland.
