Ferry from Portsmouth to Le Havre in France
There is just one operator who run a Portsmouth to Le Havre ferry connection, that is Brittany Ferries. You can choose to sail over night on a cruise-style vessle. Or for those more interested in a quicker crossing, you can opt to use Brittany Ferries Economie Service. Getting you there in a fraction of the time.
Both Portsmouth and Le Havre are major ferry ports and are conveniently located to major road networks, making the route a great choice to fit with your travel plans.
Portsmouth to Le Havre Ferries
The économie ferry service is designed to appeal to those who wish to travel to France at a very reasonable fare without the cruise-style experience normally provided by Brittany Ferries. Our service to Le Havre is shared by two économie ferries, Etretat and Connemara.
Portsmouth to Le Havre sailings on Etretat take 5 hrs 30 mins by day or 6 to 10 hrs by night, but there is still time to enjoy:
- Good quality French catering on board (but with a limited choice)
- Enjoy a film or two in the movie lounge
- Free Wi-Fi in designated areas
- A small shop offering a limited selection of spirits, wine, tobacco, perfume and cosmetics, confectionery and newspapers.
We will be traveling as pedestrians to the UK from Le Havre…Is there a car rental agency near the port in Portmouth?
Hi Brenda
All the major car hire companies can be found in Portsmouth, but all would require a taxi journey to get there. Sorry for the inconvenience.
how will I know about my sleep seat is it reserved my ref no nx75608
Hi John
Onboard the Etretat, reserved seats for sleeping are located on deck 5. A member of staff onboard will be able to directly to your exact seat. Just show them your booking reference number. I hope this helps.
