Getting to the Port

Stena Line’s Ferry Terminal at Dublin is located 6km (4 miles) east of Dublin city centre. Extensive signage on all main roads leading to the port give clear directions.

There is no direct train link to Dublin Port.

There is a Luas Red Line tram stop at ‘The Point’ which is opposite the entrance to Dublin Port however this is a 40 minute (3.2km) walk from Stena Line’s ferry terminal. Taxis are available.

Bus: Dublin City Centre and Stena Line Terminal 2

Runs for every sailing. Journey time is around 30 to 35 minutes depending on traffic.

There are numerous taxi ranks in Dublin including one at the Stena Line ferry terminal where you can hail a taxi. Alternatively online services such as Uber, Free Now and Bolt are available as well as numerous dial-up services such as Dublin Dial a Cab (+353 1 80 80 800) or NCR (+353 1 67 72 222).

Parking Information

There are 30 car parking spaces at the port:

• Short–term parking rate: €2.00 per hour (minimum charge €1.00)

• Daily parking rate: €9.00 per 24 hours (or part day)

• Long–term parking rate: €50.00 per 7 days

Short term parking is available outside the terminal building. Parking payments are card only and can be made via the APCOA app or by scanning the QR code displayed in the car park. Please ensure that your parking session covers your proposed length of stay.


Parking tickets are no longer issued, and cash payments are not accepted.


Vehicles parked without a valid payment may be subject to clamping. Vehicle clamping is in operation and the release fee is €80.00. Please refer to the signage and QR code displayed in the car park for further parking information.
