Getting to the Port
From the south, take the A7 towards Hamburg / Flensburg through the Elbe Tunnel. Continue on the A215 in the direction of “Kiel Zentrum / Fähren”. Take the right lane, which leads straight ahead. You cross several intersections before you see a petrol station on the right. Turn off at the next traffic lighted intersection (there is a café on the corner). Join the left lane and follow the signs for Gothenburg.
Several local and long-distance trains run to Kiel Central Station. Regional trains run hourly from Hamburg (journey time: 1 hour 15 minutes). The train station is located directly on the fjord in the city center. The Stena Line Terminal can be reached in just over 800m on foot via Kaistraße or by taking a short short bus ride (several lines, to the stop “Bootshafen” or “Holstenbrücke”).
