  1. Hello, can you please let me know what time do we need to be at the port before boat leaves, many thanks

    1. Hi Penny

Check in closes 45 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time, therefore check in will close promptly. In high season we advise customers to allow 90 minutes before check in closes to pass through all controls. Please note check in & departure times are based on local time. I hope this helps.

  2. The information given above about no foot passengers is incorrect. It is currently £23 each way. Parking at Newhaven is £5 if you are going away overnight. Would not recommend this for a day trip as 4 hrs each way gives you little time in France.

    1. Thanks for the update Stephen. DFDS still has this marked as route not available for foot passengers and you still cannot book as foot passengers on their site. It does though appear you are right and you can book as a foot passenger with direct ferries (use the book now. One way price is £31 and the return is £46 (£23 each way) as you said.

  3. The seven sisters is a very smart, powerful, and comfortable ferry. The crossing from Newhaven to Dieppe saves me 200 miles on the round trip to Ambrieres and saves me some £40 in payage road tolls. It’s a nice experience too.
