Getting to the Port
Arriving from Santander city centre From the sea front at Pereda Gardens with the Brittany terminal on your left, follow the orange signs for “Ferry”. You will be directed to bear right on “Avenida de Castilla”. When you reach the end of the avenue, turn left following the signs for ferry. Continue 700m and bear right, then at the roundabout take the third exit and go through the Port of Santander Control Point (also signed for “Ferry” in orange). The Brittany Ferries check-in area will be to the left as you enter the restricted area.
RENFE offers a Spain Pass which is valid for one month’s rail travel and gives access to the whole country. Customers can select between 4-12 train journeys within this one month period for a set price. For more information and to book please visit: https://www.renfe.com/es/en/travel/prepare-your-trip/abonos-ave-y-largadistancia/renfe-spain-pass
Taxis can be ordered through the Santander town taxi service (Tel. (00 34) 942 33 33 33). Taxis are available when the ferry arrives in Santander. A fare to the main hotels in the town will cost between 6-10€.
The bus station is a 5-10 minutes walk from the terminal with direct connections to Madrid and Bilbao.
If you’re travelling by coach, you’ll need to check in as a foot passenger at the ferry terminal and the coach will board the ferry.
