It is for you to choose, either travel between Kristiansand and Hirtshals on the lightning-fast catamaran Fjord FSTR or one of our beautiful cruise ships.

When travelling with Fjord Line from Kristiansand to Hirtshals, you can choose between the catamaran Fjord FSTR or one of our cruise ships (MS Bergensfjord and MS Stavangerfjord). This gives you great flexibility and more departures to choose from.

Fjord FSTR sails between March and October, and offers you the fastest way to Norway with a crossing time of just 2 hours and 25 minutes. On board, you’ll find great shopping opportunities, a wide range of food, a coffee bar and a separate play area where the little ones can have lots of fun. At the fore, we also have our own lounge with great views and a cosy atmosphere. You can reserve a seat here for a small extra charge. This gives you access to a comfortable seat and free access to food and drink.

The two cruise ships MS Stavangerfjord and MS Bergensfjord operate the route to Kristiansand all year round. This gives you the best start to your journey with first-class food and great prices in the duty-free shops. You can choose whether you want to eat in our à la carte brasserie, the large buffet restaurant, the cafeteria or in the café on the upper deck. You can also enjoy the view from the new Fjord Lounge for a small extra fee. There, you can sit in comfortable seats with access to power outlets and free Wi-Fi, and enjoy hot and cold drinks for free.

There is parking next to the terminal with a maximum stay of 30 minutes. Short-term parking is available across the road (for a fee). For long-term parking, we recommend car parks in the city centre.

North Sea terminal in Hirtshals

Address: Nordsøterminalen, Containerkajen 4, 9850 Hirtshals, Denmark.

Parking spaces are limited in the terminal vicinity. We suggest you look for parking spaces in the area and in the town. It’s also possible to park at Hotel Skagas’s car park – ask at reception. Prices are DKK 75 per day and DKK 300 per week. It is not possible to book parking in advance.

The terminal is located at the Port of Hirtshals, appx. 35-40 minutes walk from the town centre.

There are good train and bus connections to and from Hirtshals. See the timetables at www.rejseplanen.dk and www.dsb.dk.

The closest station to the ferry terminal is Lilleheden. For the Lilleheden-Hjørring stretch, tickets can only be purchased by credit card. Danish kroner cannot be used.
