That route connected Harwich to Cuxhaven, other destinations like Hamburg have all closed over the years. However with the great motorway and train network connecting Holland Belgium and Germany it’s easy to travel by ferry to Germany.
Ferries to Scandinavia
The last passenger ferry to Scandinavia closed in 2014 ending 100’s of years a ferry connection between the UK and Scandinavia. That service was the Harwich to Esbjerg ferry operated by DFDS Seaways (formerly Scandinavian Seaways). Reaching Scandinavia by ferry now requires a detour through Holland.
