At it’s closest point, just 12 miles seperate Scotland & Northern Ireland, so it won’t be surprise that it is one of the busiest ferry routes anywhere in the UK. Currently there are up 14 daily sailings from Scotland to Northern Ireland.
Cairnryan is now the main ferry port for travel between Scotland and Northern Ireland. There are up to 13 sailings each day from Cairnryan to either Belfast or Larne in Northern Ireland.
The Newhaven to Dieppe ferry service is operated by DFDS with up to 3 daily sailings from Newhaven which take just 4 hours.
There are 4 daily ferries sailing from Liverpool to Ireland. P&O Ferries sail twice a day from Liverpool to Dublin and Stena Line have two daily sailings from Birkenhead to Belfast in Northern Ireland.
DFDS Seaways is the only Channel ferry operator to sail to Dunkirk and offer you two destinations in France on their sailings from Dover. Choose to sail from Dover to either Calais or Dunkirk in France.
There is currently just one route connecting the UK to Dublin. Sailing from Holyhead to Dublin, with the choice of two operators and up to nine daily sailings.
